Kos Newsletter: Warm email notes from the heart

Why subscribe to Kos?

Maybe, like me, you love letters from old friends. Meet Kos, a weekly email newsletter that feels like a letter from a close friend.

In Norwegian, “kos” is the feeling you get when you’re safe, cozy, and connected to the people and things you love around you. Like the feeling of Christmas morning, or reading your child a bedtime story. It’s simply joy.

Every Sunday you’ll receive a note in your inbox from me, Koseli—an American freelance writer in Seoul—that (hopefully) makes you want to curl up in a nest of blankets with a hot cup of tea to read.

Why Kos?

There are a thousand fantastic email newsletters and I encourage you to subscribe to them all but there is only ONE Kos email. Here are five reasons why you should subscribe to mine:

  1. Email sucks 99% of the time. Let Kos cheer up your inbox. This is not a regular email newsletter, I do it for the joy of it, and I’m not trying to sell you anything.

  2. As of November 2021, I am the only Koseli writing a newsletter.

  3. It’s cozy, it’s personal. It may help you not dread email. (No guarantee.)

  4. Your subscription supports an independent writer writing about motherhood, bodies, culture, and spirituality—all stories I believe we need more of.

  5. We could all use more simple joy aka “kos” in our lives.

xo, Koseli
