Hi, I’m Koseli. This is a weekly note about my life in Seoul, motherhood, creativity, books, and products I love. It should feel more like an email from a friend than a newsletter.

Hello friends,
Tonight I tucked my three-year-old into bed. He wore his winter coat, a panda hat, headphones, and a pull-up. Through half-closed eyes, he begged for another story. I brushed my fingers through his hair, twirling it at the ends. Rubbed his belly and hummed familiar lullabies. Stared at his fluttering eyelids, marveling at his smooth cheeks and button nose. His lips, minutes before pouty and sputtering, now soft and pillowy. His brother’s breathing, softly filling the room with measured exhale. I spread his astronaut duvet, tucked it tight by his sides, and smelled the perfect scent of sleeping babies. I will remember that smell for the rest of my life. It’s an honor to know that smell.
I hope you have a good week. Thanks for being here.

P.S. I get my second dose of Pfizer this week. Think of me on Thursday? I can’t wait.
10 or so things to share
Is Scrivener the way to go when working on a book? I’m in Google Docs and my head might explode from scene jumping. This is a relaxing cooking game I play on my phone 1x/year. Last week’s podcast was a Q&A with Uplift Kids. Last weeks’ newsletter was about journaling—even if you lie a little. Got lost on this comprehensive prefab home list. Went with a Snow Peak winter coat! This Rick Steves’ interview with a world-traveling polio survivor. Jillian the Librarian’s excellent book rec newsletter. Joni Mitchell weather. Spotify Wrapped is coming up. What a fun weird cultural phenomenon.
Can I share some beauty favorites? I’m in full-on hygge mode since the temperature dropped 30 degrees in ONE DAY. Even after trying four new k beauty cleansers, this is still my favorite for my sensitive skin. Grande Lash fervor still going strong. This is the only thing that works on my husband’s dry, cracked heels. My sister-in-law bought me this lip balm in London 10 years ago and I still love it. My heating pad is my new favorite thing. I grabbed a German Beurer pad at Costco in Korea but this one looks similar.
