Hello friends,
Coming at you from the guest bed surrounded by used tissues. It’s, Am I sick? season and I’m just pretending it isn’t happening. 15 different data points support the theory but we have a grandma and grandpa visiting, Halloween costumes to finish, and a miniature steam train to ride.
You know, mere minutes after I sent out last week’s note, I threw back my head and shook my hands to the heavens. I forgot to mention the Eras movie?!?! How could that be? For seven days following the concert movie, I tried on a new personality: the I like Taylor Swift? personality + Wow, I know a lot of Taylor Swift music! personality. I shopped online for glittery boots, couldn’t stop thinking about the folklore cabin, and had every T Swift earworm known to man. It was a delightful escape. Was I a Swiftie? Still don’t know. But did I enjoy The Eras Tour movie? Why, yes, I did!!! Like standing up and dancing and singing along, kind of like. It was a delight. <listening to Midnights right now>
Did you see it? What did you think? I can’t stop thinking about Taylor in her witchy era. Man, witches get me.
Do you like it when friends drop by unannounced?
A friend called (?!) out of the blue last Monday and I picked up (?!) and she said, Hey I’m in the neighborhood. I have a Danish for you. Can I drop it off? Of course, I said yes. And you know what, friends dropping by unannounced is kind of amazing. I forgot about that! Between our seven children, we probably never would have scheduled that 20-minute pastry chat, but how delightful to just suddenly be sitting with a friend, still in your running clothes, sharing something delicious and admiring their baby’s diaper bum in baby jeans.
I’m going to pay it forward and drop something sweet/cute off at somebody’s house soon.

Shein documentary(?) on Hulu
Golden Bachelor & Bachelor in Paradise (Gerry, stop crying it’s making me sad! Best BiP episode of the season this last week!)
Some embarrassing romance books
Counting the Cost by Jill Duggar
The Unconsoled by Kazuo Ishiguro
Lucky Day shelf picks TBD! Books I’d never heard of before purely picked on their covers
The High-Protein Vegan Cookbook - not a vegan but a lover of protein and wanting to incorporate more plant-based protein

I saw the Eras Tour Movie last night and I loved it! It was so fun to sing along and feel surrounded by everything. Songs I normally don't care for I was absolutely enjoying.
